Theo Hnarakis

Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director

Joining Melbourne IT in 2000, Mr Hnarakis spent two years in the role of Group General Manager, during which time he initiated many strategic global partnerships and managed the international Sales and Marketing, Product Management and Customer Service arms of the business. Mr Hnarakis was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in November 2002 and was invited to take a seat on the Board in September 2003.

Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Mr Hnarakis worked for News Corporation, Boral Group and the PMP Communications Group. Throughout the 1990s he held chief executive and senior line management roles with these companies including Managing Director of PMP's Canberra Press and Pacific Publications and Managing Director of News Corporation's Southdown Press.

In June 2008, Mr Hnarakis became an IT Fund for Kids Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Andrew Field

Andrew Field

Chief Operating Officer

Andrew was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Melbourne IT in January 2008 after more than 8 years as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Andrew has assumed the responsibilities of COO in addition to his responsibilities as CFO.

Andrew joined Melbourne IT in 1999, assisting the company to successfully navigate its listing on the ASX as well as overseeing a period of strong global growth over the past 5 years. He has been instrumental in implementing Melbourne IT's extensive M&A activities and as COO drives operational and process efficiencies within the global Melbourne IT Group.

Andrew is responsible for the finance, legal, risk, corporate planning & analysis, corporate communications and customer service areas of Melbourne IT's business. He has more than 20 years management experience in the IT and Finance industries. He has previously consulted to major corporations in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), a Bachelor of Business (Computing) and is a CPA.

Gideon Culican

Gideon Culican

General Manager - Products

Gideon has been with Melbourne IT for the past seven years in product and channel management. He has been actively involved in the introduction of many new products including domain spaces, hosting and other valued added services, and has worked closely with all business divisions to achieve product goals.

Before joining Melbourne IT, Gideon was a member of a Victorian Government Investment Attraction Taskforce, designing and conducting successful marketing campaigns in London and Washington.

In addition he held marketing and product development roles with US-based global business information and receivables management company Dun & Bradstreet.

Gideon holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Graduate Certificate of Applied Business. He is a member of the Internet Society and the Australian Institute of Management (AIM)

Guye Engel

Guye Engel

Group CIO

Guye joined Melbourne IT in August 1999 and since that time has taken on a variety of IT leadership roles within the company prior to being appointed to the position of Group CIO, in August 2007.

In the role of Group CIO, Guye has responsibility for working with all divisions of the company to oversee the development of systems and the efficient operation of the Group's data centre facilities and related infrastructure. His role involves overseeing IT services projects across the globe to enable the achievement of business goals while ensuring that system and infrastructure designs achieve a robust, flexible and scaleable architecture to meet the company's strategic objectives.

Guye has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in IT and has more than 25 years experience working in the IT industry. Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Guye worked for the IT division of a leading Australian bank where he gained extensive experience in project management and team leadership with projects spanning retail banking, finance, information management, strategic marketing and infrastructure services. Throughout his career, Guye has also led a variety of development, critical application support and production infrastructure teams in which he has gained an in depth knowledge of IT disciplines and methodologies.

Damon Fieldgate

Damon Fieldgate

Executive General Manager, Business & Consumer

Damon Fieldgate joined Melbourne IT in 2006 as General Manager - Business & Consumer for WebCentral and Domainz, soon after Melbourne IT's acquisition of WebCentral Group. In October 2008, Damon assumed the role of Executive General Manager, Business & Consumer, where he is responsible for all Business & Consumer operations under the Melbourne IT, WebCentral, Domainz & Register Free brands.

During his tenure, Damon has been instrumental in overseeing the roll-out of the eBusiness Centre concept, which is aimed at assisting Melbourne IT's SMB customers to make sense of the internet via a consultative selling model.

Damon has been involved in IT services since 1998, since the inception of carsales.com.au, where in his role as National Sales Manager he played a significant part in developing the business during the early days of the commercial internet. Prior to entering the IT services field, he worked in retail banking for eight years, culminating in a role as Retail Bank Manager for a leading Australian bank.

Damon is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration.

Glenn Gore

Glenn Gore

Chief Technology Officer

Glenn Gore was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Melbourne IT in June 2009. In this role Glenn is focussed on the evolution of the company's products, the application of innovation and the architecture of major product systems. He also works closely with Melbourne IT's vendors to obtain best-of-breed solutions.

Glenn joined Melbourne IT following the WebCentral Group acquisition in September 2006, with responsibility for managing Melbourne IT's global technology strategy as Group Manager Architecture. Glenn joined WebCentral in June 2005 as Manager, Engineering.

Prior to joining WebCentral, Glenn built his significant knowledge of internet architecture and engineering through working with a number of internet companies. During the dot com boom he worked at OzEmail, which grew to become Australia's largest ISP in the late 1990s. Following the sale of OzEmail in 1999, Glenn was appointed to a role with UUNET in which he oversaw the extension of the world's largest internet network throughout the Asia Pacific region. His last position with MCI/UUNET was as Lead Engineer, Asia Pacific, where he worked on advanced network technologies and distributed systems.

Glenn is a keen advocate of virtualisation, automation and green computing.

Lori Harmon

Lori Harmon

Executive Vice President - Partner Solutions

Lori Harmon joined Melbourne IT in March 2009 as Executive Vice President - Partner Solutions, with responsibility for expanding the value created for existing reseller partners worldwide, as well as attracting new reseller partners across the globe.

Lori has more than 20 years of strategic and operational experience in the internet industry and has previously held senior roles in sales, support and marketing for some of Silicon Valley's leading companies. Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Lori was Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Brand Management Services business unit at VeriSign, Inc. During her time at VeriSign, Lori also led Global Customer Support, Inside Sales and Worldwide Sales Operations.

Before joining VeriSign, Lori held senior management positions at Interwoven, Brio Software and Network General with responsibility for inside sales, product marketing and professional services functions. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Appalachian State University.

Ashe-lee Jegathesan

Ashe-lee Jegathesan

General Counsel & Company Secretary

Ashe-lee Jegathesan joined Melbourne IT in August 2008 as General Counsel & Company Secretary. In her role, Ashe-lee oversees the legal and corporate secretarial function of Melbourne IT's global operations.

Ashe-lee has more than 13 years' experience as a practicing lawyer, the last eight of which have been spent in-house with multi-national corporations. Most recently, Ashe-lee held a dual role as Executive Director Corporate Services, 3D Networks (Australia), leading the corporate and shared services functions, and as Regional General Counsel for its parent company, the Planet One Group of Companies.

Prior roles include in-house positions as Corporate Counsel with Nortel Networks (Australia) and BHP Steel and as a solicitor with Freehills and Maddocks Lawyers in Melbourne.

Ashe-lee was a finalist in the Victorian section of the 2005 Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Award and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ashe-lee holds an honours degree in Law from the Australian National University.

Amber Johnston

Amber Johnston

General Manager - Human Resources

Amber Johnston joined Melbourne IT as General Manager - Human Resources in October 2006. She is responsible for supporting the company's strong growth through the provision of recruitment, education, training and development services.

Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Amber spent more than seven years in Human Resources with Ford Motor Company and two years with Walt Disney International where she gained extensive experience in strategic human resources both in Australia and internationally. Her most recent position as Ford's Asia Pacific & Africa Human Resources Manager in the Information Technology division also gave her an insight into the specific requirements of a technology based business such as Melbourne IT.

Amber understands the demands of a rapidly growing organisation and is passionate about enabling staff to manage change effectively. Under her leadership, Melbourne IT's global Human Resources team is focused on developing the company's internal and external brands to inspire, motivate, retain and entice the company's most important resource - people.

Amber undertook tertiary study at the University of Melbourne and holds a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management as well as a Bachelor of Science with Honours.

Gunnar Light

Gunnar Light

Executive Vice President - ForTheRecord

Gunnar Light joined Melbourne IT in January 2008 as Executive Vice President - ForTheRecord, with responsibility for driving growth in the company's world-leading digital recording services by expanding into new vertical and geographical markets.

Gunnar joins Melbourne IT after seven years at ATCi (Antenna Technology Communications, Inc) where he held the role of Managing Director Worldwide Sales and Marketing. In this role, he was responsible for managing channel activities, global sales strategies, marketing plans and partner contracts for North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific and EMEA. Prior to ATCi, he worked as the Director of Global Marketing and Business Development at Hypercom and in a number of Marketing and Sales roles at electronics distributor, Avnet.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, Mr Light is a graduate from the renowned Thunderbird School of Global Management with a concentration in Global Trade and Countertrade, as well as from Arizona State University's MBA program with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and Global Marketing.

Paul Looker

Paul Looker

Group Manager - Risk and Audit

Paul Looker joined Melbourne IT in May 2006 as Group Manager, Risk & Audit. Paul is responsible for the execution of the Group's risk management, internal audit and associated programs.

Paul has over 15 years' finance experience and recently spent six years as a Senior Manager in the Melbourne and Sydney offices of Ernst & Young. In this role, he was responsible for the design and delivery of tax risk management and process improvement methodologies and engagements to large corporate clients.

In 2004 Paul left Ernst & Young to establish a specialist tax system and risk consultancy practice, which he ran up until joining Melbourne IT. His clients included Qantas Airways Limited, Sigma Company Limited, and Melbourne IT.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, (La Trobe University, Melbourne), a Masters of Taxation degree (University of Melbourne) and is a Member of CPA Australia.

Kanchan Mhatre

Kanchan Mhatre

Executive Vice President - Digital Brand Services

Kanchan Mhatre joined Melbourne IT in May 2008 as GM - Operations & Strategic Development for the company's Digital Brand Service division. In March 2009, Kanchan was promoted to the role of Executive Vice President of Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services, with responsibility for driving profitable growth in the company's world-leading digital brand management & protection business.

Kanchan Mhatre has more than 20 years experience in the IT industry and prior to joining Melbourne IT held a Vice President position at Corporation Services Company (CSC). Mr Mhatre has extensive experience in integrating business operations and systems and driving profitable growth. During his time at CSC he was responsible for improving customer satisfaction while reducing operating costs, creating new products and managing operations to drive double-digit revenue growth. Before joining CSC, Kanchan held senior management roles at Register.com, StreamCenter Inc and Lucent Technologies.

Kanchan holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Science, Electrical Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.

Jackie Pedersen

Jackie Pedersen

General Manager - Customer Service

Jackie Pedersen joined Melbourne IT as General Manager - Customer Service in November 2006, with responsibility for the company's extensive customer service operations globally.

Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Jackie was General Manager Contact Centres with CPM Asia Pacific, leading a team of approximately 200 staff providing sales, service and help desk support to multiple clients. Jackie brings more than 15 years experience in in-house and outsourced contact centre management to her role at Melbourne IT, with the majority of her career to date spent in the banking and manufacturing industries.

Technology purchasing decisions can be daunting for businesses and Jackie is passionate about putting a 'human face' on technology, believing that exceptional service and personal interaction can create a competitive advantage for Melbourne IT and deliver significant benefits to its customers. Jackie is excited about supporting Melbourne IT's business units as they expand into new markets and is focused on implementing training and knowledge management systems to facilitate this growth.

Jackie holds a Diploma of Training and Education and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training from the University of Melbourne.

Dr. Bruce Tonkin

Dr. Bruce Tonkin

Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Bruce Tonkin joined Melbourne IT in 1999, in the role of Research Director/Chief Technology Officer, and was appointed to the role of Chief Strategy Officer in June 2009.

In his current role Bruce is responsible for evaluating new partnerships and communicating, creating, executing and sustaining strategic initiatives to drive long term benefits for the Company. He aligns the decisions made within strategy planning, business development, process improvement and information technology to achieve the strategic plan.

Bruce also manages Melbourne IT's active participation in local and international Internet industry bodies, including ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), where he has been a member of the Board of Directors since June 2007.

Before joining Melbourne IT, Bruce worked in small private engineering consulting businesses, universities and industry research laboratories (including AT&T Bell Labs in the 1980s). Bruce is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st class Hons) and a PhD in electrical and electronic engineering.

Angelo Tsagarakis

Angelo Tsagarakis

General Manager - Finance

Angelo Tsagarakis joined Melbourne IT in February 2004 as Group Financial Controller and became General Manager - Finance in January 2007.

He is responsible for the Group's financial management and reporting function and is a member of the Group's Risk Management Committee.

With more than 12 years experience within the finance and services industries, Angelo commenced his career with KPMG, before joining an international accommodation group leading their finance and company secretarial functions. He was also project head on a major systems integration initiative. More recently Angelo led the finance and company secretarial functions of an international professional services firm. Angelo's knowledge and experience covers corporations law, international taxation and planning, strategic planning, financial analysis and project management.

Angelo is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an Economics Degree from Monash University. He is a member of Chartered Secretaries Australia and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance.

Phillip Wilson

Phillip Wilson

Executive General Manager - Corporate & Government

Phillip Wilson joined Melbourne IT in December 2007 as Executive General Manager - Corporate & Government, with responsibility for driving sustainable growth and scalability through provision of enterprise-grade solutions.

Prior to joining Melbourne IT, Phill spent three years at KAZ Technology Services, where he was most recently Acting Regional Sales Director for the NSW region. In addition to his extensive sales experience, during his career Phill has developed capabilities in program management, consultancy, systems design and integration, ITIL service delivery, commercial management and contract negotiation.

Phill spent 22 years in the Royal Australian Navy before joining the commercial sector in 2002. He is currently studying towards a Master of Engineering, Systems Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Communications & Computer Systems from RMIT.
