18 June 2003, Melbourne, Australia: Melbourne IT (ASX: MLB) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Lycos, Inc., a division of Terra Networks, S.A.

Melbourne IT will provide Lycos with its domain name registration technical platform and range of support services. As part of the agreement, Lycos customers will be able to search and register .com, .net, .org, .biz, info and .us domains directly through the Lycos Network.

"This is yet another opportunity for Melbourne IT to expand its international business by linking up with one of the world’s biggest Internet brands," said Melbourne IT’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Theo Hnarakis. Our strategy of expanding our wholesale business by working closely with the world’s leaders is certainly gathering momentum.
